OFF-GRID SYSTEM
Off-Grid solar power systems work independently of the grid but have batteries which can store the solar power generated by the system. The panels store enough sunlight during the day and use the excess power generated in the night.
GRID-TIED SYSTEM
Grid-Tied solar power systems generate power using a solar power system and are directly connected to the utility power grid. These systems work in collaboration with the power grid. In the case when there is not enough sunlight to meet your electrical needs, the system runs on the power supplied by the grid.
HYBRID SYSTEM
Hybrid solar power systems are similar to a grid-tied solar system but use batteries to store energy for later use. This ability to store energy enables most hybrid systems to also operate as a backup power supply during a blackout, similar to a UPS.
BACKUP SYSTEM
Grid-backup systems can operate with no grid power for prolonged periods of time. By only adding an inverter with batteries make it possible to store power for when there is no power supply to run the essential loads.
